How to get your business to show up on Google
Updated October 26, 2026
When someone nearby needs what you do, they search Google, tap the map, or ask an assistant. Showing up in that moment is not luck, it is a handful of things done in order. Here they are, honestly, from the free first step to the piece most local businesses are missing.
93% of consumers used the internet to find a local business in a year, and about a third search every single day, so showing up when they look is not optional. Source: BrightLocal Local Consumer Review Survey, 2020.
1. Claim and fill out your Google Business Profile
This is the free listing that puts you on Google Maps and in the local results. Claim it, verify it, and fill it out completely: your exact name, address, phone, hours, categories, services, and real photos. This is the necessary first step. It is also where most owners stop, which is why it is rarely enough on its own.
2. Get a real website on your own domain
A profile tells Google you exist. A website on your own domain (yourbusiness.com) is what makes Google trust and rank you, because it can corroborate your business across your listing, your site, and your reviews. It is also where every referral and every ad click lands, and it is what separates you from the competitor who only has a listing. If there is no site, you are easy to skip.
3. Earn reviews and keep your information consistent
Ask happy customers for a Google review, and reply to the ones you get. Then make sure your name, address, and phone read exactly the same on your profile, your website, and anywhere else you appear. Google rewards that consistency, and conflicting information quietly holds you back.
4. Show up in AI answers too
More people now ask Siri, Google, and ChatGPT for a business nearby. Those assistants recommend what they can read clearly. A fast website that plainly states your services, hours, area, and phone, with the right structured data, is what lets them quote and recommend you. We build every site to be read by both search engines and AI assistants, so you show up in both places.
The piece most owners are missing
Steps 1, 3, and 4 are things you can do yourself. The one that stops most owners is the website, because it used to mean an agency bill or a software project. We remove that: a full multi-page site on your own domain for a flat one-time $995, built for Google and AI search, with your domain and first year of hosting included and no monthly bill for the site. You do nothing technical.
See yours first, free
The easiest way to decide is to look at it. We build a free preview of your own website from your public information, before you pay anything. Look it over, change whatever you want, and make it live only if you love it.
